Our museum education program focuses on various museum activities and strategies that encourage and support children's learning. JEWEL promotes museum education for young students to build creativity and critical thinking skills, and to spark their curiosity. The program offers historical and cultural lessons not offered in schools.
With the partnership with TADA Theater In New York City (https://tadatheater.com/), we offer Broadway Musical Workshop to Bergen County students. JEWEL shares TADA’s vision which is that ‘all young people grow up feeling successful, creative, confident, acceptedand accepting of themselves. Through the ability of people learning to express themselves well we can break down barriers of racism and inequality and create positive, active citizens.’
Parents do matter! Parenting skills are learned. Parents play a key role in a child’s development.Effective parenting education programs enhance parents’ child-rearing skills, competence, andconfidence (Carter and Kahn, 1996).
